Norval Foundation is located in the Constantiaberg amphitheatre of the Table Mountain range, just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town’s city centre. Our apartment is situated on the first floor of the museum and was purpose built to host artist-in-residence, curators, academics, collectors and other guests. The apartment was designed by DHK Architects as a modern meeting point between nature, architecture and art.
The generously-sized apartment offers two large bedrooms, both en suite, as well as a study that can be transformed into a third bedroom for long stays. The spacious balcony allows for elevated views of the Sculpture Garden, vineyards and table mountain range, while the front door allows direct access to the foundation and galleries below. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and the Skotnes Restaurant and Bar are also situated inside the museum. While staying at our apartment you will have free access to the museum and are welcome to join the our daily free tours at 2pm.
In addition to the museum and sculpture garden, there are plenty of local attractions, located within just a 30km radius of the foundation, including: Muizenberg, Kalkbay, Kommetjie, Fishhoek, Houtbay, Silver Nature Reserve, V & A Waterfront and the Constantia Wine Route. Cape Town international airport is approximately 30km from Norval Foundation.
The apartment is available to rent for an exclusive “night at the museum” experience, or if you would like to host an event at the Norval Foundation, accommodation can be booked at the apartment.
