Norval Concerts: Mandla Mlangeni – Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz 2019

They will be performing pieces from “Born To Be Black: A Celebration Of Conscious Soul” – a musical vision which encompasses the echoes of South African township groove and no-holds-barred freedom alongside the vibrant and mesmerising chants of the drum. In the rich jazz history of old lions making inspired music with young ones, “Born To Be Black” is in every way a proclamation of our rich music history.
Andile Yenana, Louis Moholo, Mandla Mlangeni (Trumpet), Nhlanhla Mahlanghu (Saxophone), Siya Makuzeni (Trombone), Ariel Zamonsky (Bass), Gontse Makhene (Percussion), Simphiwe Shiburi (Drums).
There is the option of buying either concert tickets for R200, or concert tickets with a hearty soup and home baked sour dough bread at The Skotnes Restaurant from 3:30PM, which cost R300.
